We define a mutation to be a flip that maps a lattice to a lattice. We study properties of flips, and give a necessary and sufficient condition for a flip to be a mutation. We introduce locally mutable lattices and mutable lattices in terms of flips, and prove that mutable lattices are semidistributive. We show that type-A and type-B Cambrian lattices are locally mutable, and those associated with the finite-type Coxeter quivers with different orientations are related also by the sequence of mutations. Finally we introduce a new class of lattices, called Ordovician lattices, as the lattices obtained from Cambrian lattices by iterated mutations. We provide conjectures on the structure of Ordovician lattices and on the compatibility between our mutation and the mutation in the theory of cluster algebras. 2026-05-10T15:29:45Z 51 pages, 28 figures. Building on recent results relating middle convolution and finite complex reflection groups, our work implements Katz's middle convolution to explicitly classify finite orbits in the $SL_2(\C)$-character variety of the punctured sphere. We provide theoretical results on the existence of finite orbits arising from the imprimitive finite complex reflection groups and formulas for constructing such examples when they exist. In the primitive finite complex reflection groups, we perform an exhaustive search and provide computational results. Our contributions also include Magma computer code for middle convolution and for computing the orbit under this action when it is known to be finite. 2024-07-30T20:35:27Z 60 pages, formatted for journal Épijournal de Géométrie Algébrique, Volume 10 (July 8, 2026) epiga:14609 Amal Vayalinkal 10.46298/epiga.2026.14609 http://arxiv.org/abs/2505.02941v3 Relativistic Toda Lattice and Equivariant $K$-Homology of Affine Grassmannian 2026-07-06T17:57:28Z We investigate the phenomenon known as ''quantum equals affine'' in the setting of $T$-equivariant quantum $K$-theory of the flag variety $G/B$, as established by Kato for any semisimple algebraic group $G$. In particular, we focus on the $K$-Peterson isomorphism between the $T$-equivariant quantum $K$-ring $QK_T(\mathrm{SL}_n(\mathbb{C})/B)$ and the $T$-equivariant $K$-homology ring $K_*^T(\mathrm{Gr}_{\mathrm{SL}_n})$ of the affine Grassmannian, after suitable localizations on both sides. Building on an earlier work by Ikeda, Iwao, and Maeno, we present an explicit algebraic realization of the $K$-Peterson map via a rational substitution that sends the generators of the quantum $K$-theory ring to explicit rational expressions in the fundamental generators of $K_*^T(\mathrm{Gr}_{\mathrm{SL}_n})$, thereby matching the Schubert bases on both sides. Our approach builds on recent developments in the theory of $QK_T(\mathrm{SL}_n(\mathbb{C})/B)$ by Maeno, Naito, and Sagaki, as well as the theory of $K$-theoretic double $k$-Schur functions introduced by Ikeda, Shimozono, and Yamaguchi. This concrete formulation provides new insight into the combinatorial structure of the $K$-Peterson isomorphism in the equivariant setting. As an application, we establish a factorization formula for the $K$-theoretic double $k$-Schur function associated with the maximal $k$-irreducible $k$-bounded partition. 2025-05-05T18:18:34Z SIGMA 22 (2026), 065, 39 pages Takeshi Ikeda Shinsuke Iwao Satoshi Naito Kohei Yamaguchi 10.3842/SIGMA.2026.065 http://arxiv.org/abs/2606.29317v2 Three-Dimensional Real Affine Lie Groups 2026-07-06T15:55:23Z We classify all left-invariant real affine connections in dimension three. Our approach reduces the three-dimensional problem to a two-dimensional one by decomposing each left-invariant affine connection into a two-dimensional part and an additional one-dimensional component. After characterizing all possible two-dimensional left-invariant affine connections, we return to the three-dimensional setting to obtain a simplified description of all three-dimensional left-invariant affine connections. We then explicitly solve the resulting simplified quadratic equations and perform a refined analysis up to isomorphism, leading to a complete classification. Furthermore, we determine several geometric and algebraic properties of these structures, including the Novikov, associative, radiant, and bi-symmetric conditions, as well as geodesic completeness. 2026-06-28T10:23:59Z 103 pages T. It is a countable group admitting a lot of different topologies compatible with the group structure. In particular, such topologies arise from partitions of the set $\mathbb N$ into blocks of infinite size. The corresponding categories of continuous unitary representations of $S(\infty)$ were studied by Nessonov (Sbornik: Mathematics, 2012). We propose a different approach to his classification results based on the so-called semigroup method. Unlike for representations with complex coefficients, highly non-trivial multiplicities can emerge. We show that these multiplicities are precisely governed by the action of symmetric groups on the set of partial permutations, and the ${\overline{\mathbb{F}}_\ell}$-representation of symmetric groups these give rise to. The problem is thus reduced to certain branching problems in the modular representation theory of symmetric groups. In particular, if $d$ is the order of the residue cardinality of $\mathrm{F}$ in ${\overline{\mathbb{F}}_\ell}$, and the rank of the involved general linear groups is bounded above by $ d\ell$, the behavior of the theta correspondence can be predicted via explicit algorithms coming from Pieri's Formula. 2026-01-18T17:13:10Z v2: Some typos and several small inaccuracies in Section 1 and 3 have been removed Johannes Droschl http://arxiv.org/abs/2410.03219v2 Donaldson-Thomas invariants of symmetric quivers 2026-07-06T12:19:23Z We review several algebraic, combinatorial and geometric interpretations of motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants of symmetric quivers. 2024-10-04T08:14:33Z Survey written for the Proceedings of the Simons Semester "Knots, homologies and physics". v2: typos corrected Markus Reineke http://arxiv.org/abs/2607.04933v1 Theta correspondence as a C*-correspondence 2026-07-06T11:05:24Z This is a survey of the recent works that describe theta correspondence as a C*-correspondence. The importance of the first class stems from the fact that parabolic elements form a rather mysterious submonoid of the Hecke monoid, and we found a plethora of parabolic homomorphisms. Concerning injective ones, as a first step towards their classification, we classified all locally injective connected homomorphisms between Hecke monoids of classical types and expect all of them to be injective. As a surprising byproduct of our study of parabolic and injective homomorphisms we described, to some extent, all homomorphisms between Hecke monoids. 2026-05-10T21:15:03Z 60 pages, AMSLaTeX; misprints corrected, section 3.3 improved. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:2405.18821 Arkady Berenstein Jacob Greenstein Jian-Rong Li http://arxiv.org/abs/2607.04793v1 A family of generalized Gelfand pairs attached to $3$-step nilpotent Lie groups 2026-07-06T08:27:52Z It is well known that if $(K\ltimes N, K)$ is a Gelfand pair with $N$ a nilpotent Lie group and $K$ a compact subgroup of the automorphism group of $N$, then $N$ is at most $2$-step. The notion of Gelfand pairs is extended to the notion of generalized Gelfand pairs, where $K$ is not necessarily compact. Gallo and Saal constructed an example of a generalized Gelfand pair $(K\ltimes N, K)$ with $N$ $3$-step and $K$ non-compact. In this work, we construct a family of generalized Gelfand pairs $(K_d \ltimes N_d, K_d)_{d\ge 1}$, where $N_d$ is $3$-step and $K_d$ is isomorphic to $\mathbb{R}^{d+1}$; the case of $d=1$ recovers the example of Gallo and Saal. 2026-07-06T08:27:52Z 9 pages Mai Katada Cornelie Mitcha Malanda http://arxiv.org/abs/2607.04712v1 Piecewise Symmetric Tensors 2026-07-06T06:32:06Z Every square matrix is uniquely the sum of a symmetric matrix and a skew-symmetric matrix. We extend this familiar fact to higher order tensors: every cubic $k$-tensor is uniquely the sum of an $m$-piecewise symmetric tensor and a $(k\!-\!m)$-piecewise skew-symmetric tensor, for each choice of $m\leq k$. We study these tensor spaces from the perspectives of linear algebra, representation theory and combinatorics. Our motivation stems from signature tensors in stochastic analysis, algebraic geometry and data science. More specifically, we show that our tensor space decompositions determine the vanishing ideals for signatures of piecewise linear paths with a fixed number of segments. 2026-07-06T06:32:06Z 25 pages, 1 figure Felix Lotter Rosa Preiß http://arxiv.org/abs/2603.15706v3 The Mean field equation on the Tate curve 2026-07-06T03:02:28Z In this paper, we study the spectrum of the Laplacian on the Tate curve and construct the associated Green's function as a finite sum, which can be viewed as the non-Archimedean counterpart of the Green's function on the flat torus in the Archimedean case. Moreover, we establish existence and uniqueness results of the mean field equation on this space. To address the problem, we first prove the structure of solutions on finite quotients, and prove the existence on the Tate curve by the convergence of such solutions. We also prove the uniqueness of the solutions for some parameter region.
